Depuis plusieurs années la compagnie irlandaise Pickles se produit devant nos élèves de seconde. Cette troupe propose des spectacles très interactifs et fait jouer quelques élèves sur scène à leurs côtés (les rôles élèves sont préparés en classe en amont et les élèves ‘acteurs’ bénéficient d’un temps de répétition avec les vrais acteurs avant le spectacle). Cette année le spectacle a eu lieu le mardi 20 février au lycée et a eu un grand succès auprès des élèves.

Opening Night is the name of the Pickles' Company's play. The play is about a crime scene in a theater. Indeed Madison Reese has been killed! But who is the culprit ? Maybe Ciarra, a jealous actress ? Lorcan, a mysterious stage manager ? Or Paul Edison who's the theater's director and had an affair with her ? But it could be Brian Kane, another theater's director, too. He wanted to hire Madison and he had an argument with her, a short time ago... The intelligent agent Rooky and the stupid inspector O'Neill will investigate together for better or for worse, to find out the culprit.
The actors are very talented : they can play different kinds of parts. They are funny thanks to their good sense of humour. They also interact with the audience which is really entertaining. They speak clearly and thanks to their acting, you don't need to be very good at English to understand the play.
The scenery is simple : there are only a desk and a black curtain in the middle of the stage that they use to make characters appear or disappear.
It's a play that everybody should see !
